Blur

I'm not sure how it happened - this week kind of disappeared, though I remember midway thinking it was dragging. Then today I realized it was Friday, and wondered where the time went when I wasn't sure I had anything to show for it! I did get some things done, but there are far too many items still outstanding (remember that post about lists a week or two ago). And I did paint, though it was just one of those weeks where I felt I was just putting in time, doing some of the drudge work that isn't worth showing because it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere! I think I've worked on three different paintings. I will post the latest edition of the two boys, though this is officially what I would call "the ugly stage," a place many artists are familiar with! I've just started loosely blocking in colour and at the same time trying to refine some of the shapes, so what you're seeing is mid-fix! Yes, it definitely needs some help yet.

I did get some fun pics out at the barn this week. We had some sunshine for the first time in a long time, which was a welcome change. The photo of Monster (at the top of this post) looks kind of like how 've been feeling the last couple of days - blah! What I needed was a little bit of Billy's energy. I won't embarrass him by showing the photos of how he landed off this move. He stayed on his feet, anyway! I still can't get over how big and solid he is. He's just over eleven months old.

Well, hopefully I will regroup and have a productive weekend. As I don't feel like I accomplished much this week, I'll feel compelled to work!

Winter doldrums, heh? I have the t-shirt!
You get the best shots of your horses antics......I NEVER get great shots like that with the old guys here on Cob Cottage Farm!

That's the good part of having young horses around all the time! They're always showing off! The bad part is sometimes they get themselves into trouble!
